Christy and her husband Michael have seven adult children and love the role of grandparents with three granddaughters and a grandson. They cherish their time together, whether hiking, kayaking, or simply enjoying precious moments with family. Active members of Northern Lakes Church in Cumberland, their faith is central to their lives.

Christy's journey has been guided by a deep passion for Christian education. Her career began with office management at a Christian school in Iowa. Prior to that, she dedicated years to homeschooling and teaching music classes and lessons. Her academic pursuits reflect her commitment: starting with coursework of biblical studies at Faith Baptist Bible College, she later earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Northwestern. Christy furthered her education with a Master of Science in Education in School Business Management from UW Whitewater.

Since dedicating her life to Christ as a young child, Christy has carried a profound understanding of Jesus' sacrifice for her sins. Her favorite verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, encapsulates her faith: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
